Warm Bodies (2013)★★★☆☆

Warm Bodies First 4 Minutes Official 2013 [1080 HD] - Nicholas Hoult

Zombies are supposed to be the bad guys, without question. But the Zombies in this movie is different.

It shows the audience what Zombies might be thinking, and their point of view of the world in a humurous way. The main message is that connecting with each other is what makes a person a human, and without that connection, there are not so many difference between Zombies and human.

Nicholas Hoult plays "R" the Zombie who fells in love with a human. Most of the lines of this character are narratives (because Zombies can only groan), so you don't see "R" talking much but the narratives are so "human".

My favorite scene of the movie is where "R" seems to be walking around aimlessly bumping into another Zombie but hardly recognizing each other, but in his mind he is wondering how it would have been before (when he was alive) , and longing for the human interaction. The schene overlaps with an image of christmas season and people busily walking around. The atmophere seems very cozy and happy but you realize that every single person has his/her eyes glued on a digital device, and bumping into people without recognizing each other. It's an ironic schene which makes you wonder that in a way, reality are not so far away from the world of Zombies.
